Rules, Regulations & Terms

Edition V7.0 · 8 March 2027 · Bengaluru · Organised by Zeroin Management Pvt. Ltd.

Drive for a Cause

1. Introduction & Definitions

DRIVEN, A Woman’s Rally (“DRIVEN”, “the Rally”, “the Event”) is India’s original all-women car and bike rally, organised and owned by Zeroin Management Pvt. Ltd. (“the Organiser”, “we”, “us”). The seventh edition, DRIVEN V7.0, will be held on 8 March 2027, International Women’s Day, starting from and returning to Bengaluru on the same day. It is run with the woman always at the wheel, and it is built to be enjoyed as a day out with the people you love. DRIVEN V7.0 is a drive for a cause: by default, the rally’s cash prize is donated to charity in the winner’s name (see clause 7).

DRIVEN is a rally, not a race. It runs under the FMSCI-licensed TSD (Time-Speed-Distance) format, in which the result is decided by precision and navigation, not by top speed. By registering for, or taking part in, DRIVEN V7.0, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. Where the official FMSCI / Karnataka Motor Sport Club (KMSC) Supplementary Regulations issued for this edition differ from this document, the official Supplementary Regulations and the instructions of the Clerk of the Course shall prevail.

Part A : Rules & Regulations

2. Eligibility

  1. The woman is always at the wheel. The Driver of the car or the Rider of the bike must be a woman, and must remain at the wheel (or handlebars) throughout the Rally. This is the one rule that defines DRIVEN.
  2. Everyone else is welcome. The Navigator, co-passengers and anyone else travelling in the vehicle may be of any gender. Bring your partner, your father, your brother, your friends.
  3. Children are welcome. DRIVEN V7.0 is a picnic on wheels as much as a rally, and families are encouraged. Children may travel with their crew, accompanied by a responsible adult and secured with appropriate seat belts or child seats at all times. Please tell us at registration if children are travelling with you.
  4. Pet friendly. You are welcome to bring your pet along for the day. Pets must be safely secured in the vehicle, kept under control at all stops, and remain the full responsibility of their owner throughout the Event.
  5. Minimum age & licence. The Driver / Rider must be 18 years or older and must hold a valid Indian driving licence for the relevant vehicle class. The Navigator must be 18 years or older.
  6. Built for novices. No prior rally or motorsport experience is required; DRIVEN exists to encourage first-timers and rookies, and the TSD format rewards precision, not speed. Professional and seasoned competitors are welcome too: they compete fully and keep every trophy, medal and certificate they earn, but the first-place cash prize is reserved for rookies (see clause 7).
  7. No residency requirement. Participants may come from anywhere in India or abroad. You need only be present in Bengaluru on rally day.
  8. Crew composition. Cars run with a Driver and a Navigator (and room for family or friends). Bikes may be entered solo or with a pillion. If you do not have a Navigator, tell us at registration and we will try to help match you with one.

3. Vehicle Requirements

  1. Road-legal vehicles only. Any road-legal car or two-wheeler is eligible, whether a hatchback, sedan, SUV, street bike or tourer. No special or modified vehicle is required; a small hatchback is as competitive as an SUV.
  2. Valid documents. Each vehicle must carry valid registration (RC), a current insurance policy, a valid pollution-under-control (PUC) certificate, and a valid driving licence for the Driver / Rider. These may be checked at scrutiny.
  3. Roadworthiness. Participants are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is mechanically sound, with sound brakes, tyres, lights and horn, and sufficient fuel for the route.
  4. Safety gear. Seat belts must be worn at all times in cars. Bike riders must wear an ISI-marked helmet and are strongly advised to wear protective riding gear.
  5. Identification. Official rally numbers, stickers and any timing equipment issued by the Organiser must be displayed as instructed and must not be removed or altered during the Event.

4. The Format : How TSD Works

DRIVEN is run as a Time-Speed-Distance rally. The objective is accuracy, not speed:

5. Conduct on the Road

  1. Obey all traffic laws. DRIVEN is run on open public roads. All applicable traffic laws and speed limits must be obeyed at all times. Nothing in the roadbook or these Terms authorises any breach of the law.
  2. Speed limits override target speeds. Prescribed average speeds are always set within legal limits. If a target speed ever appears to require exceeding the legal limit, the legal limit takes precedence.
  3. No racing or dangerous driving. Racing, overtaking dangerously, or any driving that endangers participants, the public or property is strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification.
  4. Intoxication. Driving or riding under the influence of alcohol or any intoxicating substance is absolutely forbidden and will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the Event.
  5. Follow officials. Instructions of the Clerk of the Course, Marshals and Organiser staff must be followed at all times. They may stop, delay or withdraw any crew on safety grounds.
  6. Respect & sportsmanship. Participants are ambassadors of DRIVEN. Courteous conduct towards fellow participants, officials, the public and the environment is expected throughout.

6. Safety & Medical

7. Scoring, Prizes & the Cause

  1. Scoring. Penalty points are awarded for the timing error at each checkpoint (early or late). The crew with the fewest total penalty points wins its category.
  2. Categories. Cars and bikes are scored in separate categories. Additional sub-categories and special awards may be announced at the briefing.
  3. Penalties & disqualification. Missing a checkpoint, taking an incorrect route, using prohibited timing or navigation aids, receiving outside assistance not permitted by the regulations, or breaching these Terms may attract penalty points or disqualification.
  4. Officials’ decision is full and final. Any query on results must be raised with the Clerk of the Course within the time stated at the prize-giving. The decision of the officials running the Rally, namely the Clerk of the Course and the Organiser, on all matters of results, scoring, penalties, eligibility and conduct is full, final and binding, and is not subject to appeal.
  5. Prizes. Trophies and prizes are awarded to top finishers in each category, along with special awards. Trophies and prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  6. A rally for novices and rookies. DRIVEN exists first and foremost to encourage women who are new to rallying, first-timers and rookies, to get behind the wheel. The competition is structured so that beginners have a genuine chance of winning.
  7. Who is a professional. For the purpose of DRIVEN, the Driver / Rider is treated as a professional or seasoned competitor if she meets any one of the following: (a) she holds, or has held within the last five years, a competition licence from the FMSCI or an equivalent Indian or international motorsport authority; (b) she has competed in a national or state-level motorsport championship (rally, racing, autocross or national-round TSD) recognised by the FMSCI or FIA; (c) she has finished on the podium (top three) in any FMSCI or FIA recognised car or motorcycle competition; (d) she earns income from, or is professionally sponsored for, motorsport as a driver or rider; or (e) she is otherwise classified as a professional by the Clerk of the Course. Professional status must be declared honestly at registration; non-declaration may lead to disqualification.
  8. Every award goes to the finisher. Trophies, medals, certificates and all other awards always go to the participant who earns the position, professionals and returning DRIVEN champions included. They compete fully and are celebrated for their result. The only thing handled differently is the cash prize.
  9. The cash prize, if any, is for first place only. DRIVEN may or may not offer a cash prize in a given edition. If a cash prize is offered at all, it is awarded for first place only. Every other position is recognised with trophies, medals, certificates and other awards, not cash.
  10. The cash prize is kept for a rookie. A professional (as defined above) and a previous first-place winner of DRIVEN are not eligible for the first-place cash prize. If either of them finishes first, she keeps the trophy, the medal, the certificate and every other first-place award, and the cash passes to the next eligible rookie finisher, who joins her on the top step of the podium. Both are celebrated together; only the cash goes to the rookie.
  11. Drive for a Cause: the cash prize is donated by default. DRIVEN is a drive for a cause. By default, the first-place cash prize is donated, in the winner’s name, to a registered NGO: either one of DRIVEN’s official charity partners for the edition, namely [Charity Partner 1] and [Charity Partner 2], or another registered charity the winner nominates. The Organiser pays the amount directly to the chosen organisation, the winner is celebrated as a DRIVEN Cause Champion, and, where that organisation is eligible, the donation receipt (including any 80G tax benefit) is issued in her name. A winner who would prefer to keep her cash prize may simply opt out and receive it herself; the choice is always hers.
  12. The community picks the causes. We want the causes to come from the women who drive. At registration, and at any time before the Event, participants are invited to recommend a registered NGO or cause they care about. The Organiser reviews each suggestion and, after due diligence to confirm the organisation is genuine, registered and in good standing, may add it to DRIVEN’s list of supported causes that winners can give to. Listing a cause is at the Organiser’s discretion, and inclusion does not imply any wider endorsement. To nominate, add your cause on the interest form at driven.zzeroin.net, or write to driven@zzeroin.net or WhatsApp +91 99009 98899, giving the NGO’s name, city, its registration or 80G number if you know it, a website or social link, and a line on why it matters to you.

Part C : Frequently Asked Questions

14. Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an experienced driver?

No. DRIVEN is designed for all skill levels, and many participants drove their first rally with us. The TSD format rewards precision, not speed, so experience and a calm head matter more than horsepower.

Can men come along?

Yes. The one rule is that the driver of the car or the rider of the bike must be a woman. The navigator, co-passengers and anyone else in the vehicle can be of any gender, so bring your partner, family or friends.

Can I bring my children?

Absolutely. DRIVEN V7.0 is a picnic on wheels as much as a rally, and families are welcome. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult and secured with proper seat belts or child seats. Just let us know at registration if children are travelling with you.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, DRIVEN is pet friendly. You are welcome to bring your pet, as long as it is safely secured in the vehicle, kept under control at stops, and remains your responsibility throughout the day.

Can I come alone, or do I need a co-driver?

For cars, you drive with a navigator, who can be of any gender. If you don’t have one, tell us when you register and we’ll try to match you with someone. For bikes, solo participation is allowed.

What kind of car or bike can I use?

Any road-legal car or bike, whether a hatchback, sedan, SUV, street bike or tourer. No modifications are required. A small hatchback is as competitive as an SUV.

Is it only for Bengaluru residents?

Not at all. Participants come from across India and abroad. You just need to be in Bengaluru on rally day.

Is it safe?

Yes. DRIVEN runs on public roads with full FMSCI licensing, safety marshals at key points and an experienced organising team. There are no dangerous speed sections; it is a precision event, not a race.

How much does it cost, and how is it charged?

The fee is charged per person (per head), expected to be between ₹7,550 and ₹9,000 per head, with the final figure announced closer to the date. It covers entry, roadbook, timing, meals, refreshments, event kit and rally logistics. Interest registration itself is free.

I’m a professional racer or rallyist. Can I take part?

Yes, and you can compete fully and win. You’ll receive every award for your position, the trophy, the medal, the certificate and the rest, just like anyone else. The one exception is the first-place cash prize (the one cash prize, if it is offered), which is reserved for rookies. If you finish first, the next eligible rookie joins you on the top of the podium and takes the cash, while you keep all the other awards.

I won a past DRIVEN. Can I win again?

Always welcome back, and you can compete and win, trophy, medal, certificate and all. The only thing reserved away from you is the first-place cash prize (the one cash prize, if it is offered), which is kept open for a rookie. You can still finish first and take everything that comes with it; the cash itself goes to the next eligible rookie, who shares the top of the podium with you.

Can I suggest a cause or NGO for DRIVEN to support?

Please do, we’d love that. You can recommend a registered NGO or cause when you register, or any time before the Event. We do our due diligence to check the organisation is genuine and registered, and then it may join DRIVEN’s list of supported causes that winners can give to.

What happens to the cash prize, and can it go to a charity?

DRIVEN is a drive for a cause, so by default the cash prize is donated in the winner’s name to a registered NGO, either one of our edition charity partners or a charity she nominates. We pay it straight to them, celebrate her as a DRIVEN Cause Champion, and where possible get the donation receipt (and any 80G tax benefit) issued in her name. If a winner would rather keep her cash, she can simply opt out. The choice is always hers.

What happens if I get lost?

Marshals are stationed along the route and a sweep vehicle follows the entire field behind the participants. No one gets left behind.

Where exactly does it start?

The start point is in Bengaluru. The exact venue is announced to registered participants closer to the date.

I want to volunteer or be a marshal. Is that possible?

Yes. Reach out at driven@zzeroin.net or on WhatsApp at +91 99009 98899.
